Job Description:
3 Stars Brewing Company is looking for a account based Sales Director to focus on growing 3 Stars Brewing’s wholesale business in the DC Metro Area.  Immediate focus will be on DC. This position reports directly to the CEO and requires flexible hours, daily travel throughout DC and the DMV, and support for frequent weekend events.

Job Qualifications:
Successful candidate will be self-modivated, have a pleasant personality with the ability to communicate well with people and be self-motivated.  Good current knowledge of the beer industry and 2-3 years beer industry sales experience is required. The ideal candidate would live in the DMV in close proximity to the District. Must have own reliable vehicle and a driver’s license with no DUI’s

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily and monthly tasks include: sales calls/performing samplings/promos/staff trainings – Supporting beer festivals/account related events as needed.
  • Visit and maintain contact with retailers, restaurants and bars through daily sales activity.
  • Perform sales tasks as required with Distributors and Customers based on sales plan co-developed with Company leadership.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of key decision-maker/influencers in accounts
  • Establish and Grow draft and package accounts across DC/DMV customerbase.
  • Communicate daily w/CEO and Distribution team regarding orders, trends, seasonal considerations and all other sales-related issues.
  • Record daily market activity and share through weekly/monthly sales reporting.
  • Build & maintain relationships with wholesale team & conduct regular work-withs.
  • Monitor wholesaler’s inventory and help to drive depletions.
  • Analyze sales data/ performance on a monthly basis; support accurate sales reporting for sales management.
  • Complete company administration requirements on time and regularly, including expense reports, weekly/month recaps, monthly calendar, and daily e-mails.
  • Assist with preparation and delivery of quarterly sales meetings/presentations with our wholesale distribution partners.

Wholesaler/ Market Knowledge:

  • Will be expected to learn and maintain knowledge of key contacts at customer accounts, wholesalers and retailers.
  • Will be responsible for Knowledge of product pricing, how it’s derived and awareness of general market pricing for craft competitors in the market.
  • Must be able to develop market profile and target account lists.

Knowledge/Capabilities Needed:

  • Knowledge of 3 Stars Brewing Company, its history and its products.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated success in beer industry sales.
  • General knowledge of the brewing process and how our products are produced.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, comfortable addressing groups of customers
  • Basic computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maneuver and lift full ½ barrel kegs weighing 160lbs while servicing accounts
