Steven Seagal Storms New York City With Thunder And Lightning Run For Cover At Penn Plaza Pavilion And BB Kings Blues Club

BALTIMORE, MD, Monday, June 19, 2006 – Veteran actor Steven Seagal will be storming through New York City June 24 and 25 on the mid stretch of his “Mojo Priest” album summer blues tour.

“Mojo Priest” is Seagal’s critically acclaimed sophomore album featuring his multi-talented blues ensemble “Thunderbox” as well as special guests Bo Diddley, Ruth Brown and several members of Muddy Water’s incomparable band. When asked where his interest in the blues manifested Seagal says, “I grew up with people laying down blues in the neighborhood on their porches. I got it in my blood.”

Seagal and his band will be making a pit stop in New York City’s Penn Plaza Pavilion where he will be making a special guest appearance to sign copies of his new CD at the legendary Big Apple Con, the longest running comic book, toy and art show convention in New York, on Saturday June 24, 2006. Seagal will also be boasting the fruits of his labors as master herbalogist and “Energy Drink Formulator” as his “Lightning Bolt Energy DrinkT” makes a guest appearance in the Big Apple. Mitch Gould, of Steven Seagal Enterprises, says, “Consumer acceptance has been overwhelming!” Lightning Bolt Energy DrinkT is currently available at Wal-mart Super-Centers nationwide and is expanding into over 60 countries worldwide.

Lightning Bolt Energy Drink is an all-natural gourmet drink that is unique to the neutraceutical beverage market. It stands apart as a delicious “healthier alternative” made with exotic botanicals and B-vitamins. It is the first energy drink to contain the essential immune building Asian Cordyceps and Tibetan Goji Berries, known for promoting energy, vitality and longevity.

Seagal will be taking the stage Sunday night at the legendary BB Kings New York Blues Club. He and Thunderbox will perform his hand penned, soulful compositions as well as blues favorites, “Hoochie Koochie Man” and “Dust My Broom”. “Steven is a natural”, said BB King when asked what he thought of Steven’s music from the back of his tour bus in January. “He has a strong and commanding presence”, he added.

The Thunder(box) and Lightning(bolt) help Seagal maintain an unrelenting schedule that would tire younger entrepreneurs. His first album “Songs From The Crystal Cave”, released in the spring of 2005 hit the pop charts in Europe and continues to thrive. The release of “Mojo Priest” and its international tour doesn’t have Seagal crying the blues, but singing them blissfully and full of passion. Seagal even finds time to give back to the ravaged community of New Orleans as he actively participates in ongoing Katrina Relief efforts.
