Inaugural issue of BevNET IBQ Magazine to be printed in May 2007
Apriil 2, 2007 CAMBRIDGE, MA BevNET.com, Inc., the leading publisher of web and print media for the beverage industry, is pleased to announce the launch of a new publication, BevNET IBQ. As the name suggests, BevNET IBQ Innovative Beverage Quarterly will be produced on a quarterly basis beginning in May, 2007 with its inaugural Spring 2007 issue.
@@img1BevNET IBQ will be unlike any other industry publication on the market today, with its editorial content focused solely on beverage innovation. That editorial will incorporate insightful reporting with the cutting-edge knowledge base of BevNET.com into a smartly designed, market-savvy package that will resonate with its demanding core readership of beverage industry professionals.
“We believe that trade magazines are often perceived as boring, text-heavy products, but the beverage industry is very image- and brand-sensitive,” says John Craven, the president of BevNET.com, Inc. “BevNET IBQ will serve the needs of beverage innovation, appealing to beverage marketers, R & D professionals, and distributors of exciting, cutting-edge products.”
The quarterly magazine will offer editorial insight and analysis of those beverage development trends that will direct the industry into new areas of growth, while demythologizing those that are dependent on hype alone.
BevNET’s editorial staff will identify the cultural, political, and economic trends including rising flavors and functions, the regulatory arena, international beverage development and packaging and design innovation that will all be at play in the way the beverage industry develops in the years to come.
“We want to help beverage marketers spot the category that could have the growth potential of an energy drink or the flavor that could have the utility of pomegranate,” says Jeffrey Klineman, editor of the new publication. “Finding these trends currently requires a lot of leg work, guesswork, and luck, as well as a significant amount of going back to the drawing board. BevNET IBQ will help increase the batting average of beverage marketers by providing them with a look at what is working across a broad range of related industries.”
The inaugural issue of BevNET IBQ will introduce a list of executives and companies who stand at the edge of beverage innovation, while regular sections will include coverage of new flavors, hot additives and intelligent packages, evaluations of new product strategies, regulatory scorecards and profiles of crossover consumer trends, both from other packaged goods lines and from foreign shores.
BevNET IBQ will be sent free to qualified professionals who create, market, or distribute innovative beverages in the USA. Other subscribers may purchase an annual subscription for $75; individual copies will be available for $25 apiece.
