Kimball Distributing and Sweet Leaf Tea Agree To End Relationship

By mutual agreement, Kimball and SLT are ending their year and a half relationship in distributing Sweet Leaf Tea to major north Texas convenience and grocery stores effective at the end of February.

“It’s a great product, and we have enjoyed our relationship with SLT” said Kimball Smith, President of Kimball, “but our business models were beginning to diverge, and we have mutually agreed that we each shall find new business partners to assume each other’s responsibilities.” Kimball will continue to provide full distribution services to its Sweet Leaf Tea customers through the end of February.

“Kimball Distributing continues to provide high-quality service for their customers but unfortunately their business model does not focus on all the channels of trade that we are pursuing. We have agreed to separate in an amicable fashion and I wish the most success for Kimball in the future” stated David Smith (no relation), Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sweet Leaf Beverage Company. Sweet Leaf will release a future statement as soon as possible for information regarding their new distributor in the North Texas market. Kimball is a full service Direct Store Delivery (DSD) distribution company located in Arlington, TX.
