Video: 2014 – A Year in Review

In a year defined by opportunistic (and optimistic) investment, ranging from carefully orchestrated, billion-dollar deals to a bevy of smaller — albeit influential — equity purchases in upstart brands, one is inclined to have a positive outlook for the beverage industry in 2015, and beyond. Certainly, the coming year will be one to closely watch in terms of execution on investment and, of course, whether the money continues to flow.

Our crystal ball took a nasty crack during the BevNET holiday party (don’t ask), so instead we thought it wise to review some of the stories that shaped our coverage in 2014 as a way to glean some insight as to what to come. In this video, we look back at top headlines from the past year, a list that includes several of the aforementioned financial deals, as well as news on emerging beverage categories, marketing wins (and blunders) and important regulatory updates.
