In the latest addition to its list of brand partnerships, AriZona Beverages has announced a new collaboration with Welch’s for the launch of a line of sparkling juice drinks. Welch’s Sparkling Grape and Welch’s Sparkling Strawberry will bear the Welch’s logo front and center and come packaged in AriZona’s signature 23 oz. “Big Can”.
The two new beverages will join AriZona’s growing portfolio of co-branded carbonated drinks, which include Soda Shaq, Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Sparkling Fizz and Skinnygirl Sparklers. While Soda Shaq, a cream soda line developed in partnership with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, has produced disappointing sales since its launch in June, 2013, AriZona appears to be pleased with the progress of Skinnygirl Sparklers, having recently introduced two new flavors to the line: Peach Passion Fruit and Black Raspberry.
Both Welch’s Sparkling Grape and Sparkling Strawberry are sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and contain 90 and 80 calories per serving respectively. Both varieties contain 20 grams of sugar per serving.
Earlier this year, AriZona teamed up with Dunkin’ Donuts to bring its Arnold Palmer iced tea and lemonade beverages to the retailer’s Coolatta frozen drinks platform.
