LOS ANGELES (July 15, 2015) – Boxed Water, a BPA-free alternative to bottled water, has expanded its footprint in Southern California and is now available in 148 Ralph’s stores. Effective immediately, Ralph’s will offer 500 ml packages of the water in their open air coolers for $1.69 each. This expansion marks a landmark for the rapidly-growing company, as Ralph’s becomes the largest grocery banner in the West to carry the premium water.
“The expanding availability of Boxed Water means that more consumers will be able to replace their PET water bottles with a great tasting alternative that they can feel good about.” said Jeremy Adams, VP Marketing at Boxed Water. “In light of the California state wide drought, our water is sourced from Holland, Michigan and is triple filtered for purity using reverse osmosis, carbon filtration and UV systems. Our on-shelf presence at Ralph’s makes it easier than ever for shoppers to reduce their environmental footprint.”

About Boxed Water
Boxed Water is a sustainable packaged-water company that enables socially conscious consumption by re-thinking the way water is sold, shipped and consumed. Founded in 2009, Boxed Water is an alternative to bottled water that is built on three principles: sustainability, efficiency and philanthropy. Each carton is recyclable and made using renewable paper from certified, well-managed forests. Boxed Water has also reduced its carbon footprint and increased efficiency by shipping its cartons flat to its plants to be filled. Once filled, its square-shape reduces shipping waste versus round bottles, reducing the number of trucks needed to transport the product. The company currently has offices in Grand Rapids, Mich. and Los Angeles, and is currently produced and filled in Holland, Mich.
