Video: The Evolution of Specialty on Display at the 2015 Winter Fancy Food Show

Speaking at the recently held 2015 Winter Fancy Food Show, BevNET CEO John Craven noted that, “ten years ago, you’d consider specialty food products [to be] coffee and tea, and that’s really evolved away from that.”

Indeed, this edition of the Winter Fancy Food Show showcased a broad variety of beverage categories, ranging from cold-brewed coffee and cold-pressed juice to kombucha and plant-based waters. In this video, which was filmed on location at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Craven and Managing Editor Ray Latif examine the roots of this evolution, what categories have benefited and how brands have adapted their retail and distribution strategies to take advantage of changing winds in the specialty channel.
