BevNET is pleased to announce that two of the co-founders of investment fund Alliance Consumer Growth (ACG), Josh Goldin and Trevor Nelson, will be speaking as featured investors during BevNET Live, to be held June 4 and 5 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.
ACG, still not yet two years old, has quickly created ripples in consumer brand circles by making high-impact minority investments in several trailblazing companies like Shake Shack, Krave Jerky, Evol Foods and BabyGanics, all behind the thesis that a significant injection of minority growth capital combined with a hands-on approach can help increase value for all stakeholders. ACG’s founders have made it clear that they do not seek to purchase controlling stakes, but rather their intent is to combine minority investments with active collaboration and industry expertise to help companies grow.
Since its founding, ACG has been actively reviewing opportunities to invest in the beverage space. The partners’ presentation and discussion will outline their parameters for beverage investments, as well as some common reasons investors pass. They will also provide insight into the challenges they see along the path to growth for consumer brands, as well as present their case for the ways that minority investment and strategic expertise can assist in overcoming those challenges.
