Purity Vodka and The Absolut Company Agree to Settle Disputes

Purity Vodka BottleSTOCKHOLM, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The settlement applies i.a. to the use of the trademark PURITY VODKA and its validity in Sweden and in the USA, as well as the right to use the descriptive word “purity”, that is the quality to be “pure”, in marketing.

Both parties have now withdrawn their claims in these court cases. The settlement means i.a. that Purity Vodka AB can continue its use of the trademark PURITY VODKA, and that both parties freely may use the word “purity” as an expression to characterize a quality i.a. in marketing.

Both parties has expressed that they are content with the settlement.
