CHICAGO, IL, APRIL 5, 2016 – KOVAL Distillery is excited to announce the release of a new organic Barreled Gin. A follow-up to the much celebrated release of KOVAL Dry Gin (recognized as 2015’s most highly awarded American gin), KOVAL Barreled Gin follows the same prized recipe with the addition of spiced oak flavors that come from barrel aging.
Fans of KOVAL Dry Gin will taste a similarly crisp spirit with flavors from rose hip, juniper, angelica root, and coriander, but will appreciate a new level of depth and oak from the spirit’s time resting in a KOVAL whiskey barrel. The attention to detail that KOVAL’s grain-to-bottle process allows shines through in the final product, offering a unique spirit that appeals to gin and whiskey drinkers alike.
The artisanship of KOVAL’s process and the complexity of the Barreled Gin are reflected in the new label, thoughtfully designed with intricate argyle die-cutting and bronze foil patterns by award-winning brand identity firm Dando Projects–the same team recognized with a Double Gold Medal for KOVAL Dry Gin at the 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and “Best in Show” at the 2015 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition, among numerous other international design awards.
