Saxco Assists With Packaging For Premium Ayate Tequila

Savage And Cooke, of Vallejo, California in partnership with the Ramirez family of Guanajuanto, Mexico is introducing its new premium Ayate Tequila in two expressions to Tequila drinkers in the United States marketplace.

To assist with the all-important packaging aspect for its new premium spirits in Anejo and Resposado offerings, it engaged the services and global resource network of Saxco International, LLC, of Horsham, PA, world-wide package specialists for the wine, spirits, beer and food industries. “Our role was to help create a dynamic and innovative package with a distinctive and beautiful overall eye appeal and a prominent shelf appearance and complete the project within the pre-determined time and budget parameters,” states Mick Mitchell, printing and packaging specialist for the Saxco International’s Pacific Division.

Mitchell worked closely with Dave Phinney, owner of Savage And Cooke and his new product design team to help move the project from initial design phase to market ready reality. Phinney served as the graphics design specialist for the entire project including the design for custom bottle, decoration and custom molded corrugated shipping box.

To move the project into motion, Saxco sourced and supplied a private mold 750ml cosmetic quality flint bottle with a short neck, square shoulders and a thick bottom from a reliable and quality supply partner in Mexico. The bottle was embossed with a decorative “A” on its front and was used for both variations of the new spirit. Following Phinney’s custom graphic design for the label, Saxco used another reliable source in its vast global resource network to hand paint the labels using precious metals which help create an overall look commensurate with the Ayate Tequila’s fanciful smooth taste and unique pleasing flavors.

The bottle was finished off with a custom glass closure supplied through Savage And Cooke. Saxco also provided a special three-pack custom gift/display laminated with a black and gold foil on its front. The corrugated shipping carton also was sourced and supplied through another quality and reliable Mexican supplier in Saxco’s worldwide resource network.

Ayate Resposado is sourced from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico and is finished in Dave Phinney’s Chardonnay barrels and it is lively with notes of stone fruit, lime, melon and vanilla bean. Ayate Anejo also is sourced from the highlands of Jalisco, and finished in Phinney’s Chardonnay barrels. It is rich and decadent with dark chocolate, toffee and sweet spice. Both are 80-proof and being targeted at male and female Tequila lovers, ages 30 to 55-years in United States markets.

Retail cost for the Ayate Anejo Tequila in a 750ml size is $95, while the Ayate Reposado is being offered for $65 in a 750ml size (both U.S. dollars). For additional information, contact Savage And Cooke at 707-227-7834 or visit them on the web at www.savageandcooke.com.
