Review: Organic Aloe Water

Aloe Gloe’s “Organic Aloe Water” is the company’s first offering to come in a Tetra Pak. Packaged in a one liter container with a screw top cap, this product is made with water, organic aloe vera inner leaf powder, organic sugar, malic acid, natural flavors, and organic stevia. It definitely drinks much more like a water than other aloe drinks that we’ve sampled, which is a good thing if you are seeking something that is easy drinking and thirst quenching. However, it doesn’t have as much aloe flavor as some of the products that are positioned as aloe vera juices. Beyond that, we appreciate that the stevia doesn’t get in the way of the enjoyment of the drink (the aloe does a nice job of masking it). Of course, the stevia does a nice job of keeping the calories in check, with only 18 calories per 8 oz. serving (or about 75 calories for the entire container). Visually, the taller and larger format definitely has given Aloe Gloe the ability to create something that is cleaner and more appealing to the eyes. It’s very obvious that it’s an aloe product and we like the clear call-outs for the USDA Organic certification and the caloric content. Overall, this is definitely a welcome addition to the Aloe Gloe lineup.
