We are a small, independent Scotch whisky blending company, started by John Glaser in 2000. We make flavourful, delicious and award-winning Scotch whiskies in a range of styles for people who seek out better drinks. As blenders, we purchase our whiskies from different distilleries located all across Scotland. We have long-standing relationships with some of the finest distilleries in the country. We purchase both aged whisky and new-make whisky which we hold for extended periods of time until it is ready for blending and bottling. Our methods combine both traditional whiskymaking practices--such as extended marrying and higher malt-to-grain percentages in our blends--with contemporary techniques that we have pioneered such as the use of different bespoke toast levels on new European oak cooperage. We merge the traditional with the new, but at the end of the day, we are purists about using whatever methods necessary to make great whisky, not cutting corners. We maintain a fiery determination to uphold a true craft mentality, to make great stuff for the sake of it. Above all, share and enjoy Compass Box whiskies responsibly, at all times.
