This variety of Crude Juice blends pear juice, beet juice, ginger, aloe vera, and coconut water to create something that is light and quite refreshing. The company has done a nice job putting these ingredients together in such a way that the drink has mellow sweet and spicy notes with a slightly salty finish (presumably from the coconut water). The beet and pear flavors are quite subtle compared to what we typically see from juices using these ingredients. That’s a welcome change as there are plenty of other brands out there offering fuller-bodied products. And what Crude has created is definitely pleasing to drink. Packaging is a 16 oz. bottle with a clear label. Our only criticism of the bottle choice is that the opening is way too small. As for the label, it feels a bit rough around the edges, starting with the thin looking logo that’s easy to miss. Also, there’s something about the bottom portion of the label that feels incomplete. We feel as though the company needs to employ a different approach with the design to stand out against the more strongly branded competition. Lastly, we feel as though a flavor name -- rather than just a list of ingredients -- would be helpful. Overall, this is definitely a nice tasting product, but the packaging could stand to be further developed.
