As you can probably guess, Currant C is made with black currant juice, which is touted for its antioxidants (twice that of blueberries). The dark, sweet fluid is so intense that it even stains the inside of the glass bottle. The flavor is something that is like a cross between blueberries and grapes, giving the product a tart but sweet body with a sweet finish. It's potent, but easy to drink, and we appreciate the product's fresh taste. Labeling has been improved over the initial version that we sampled, with a more clear cut message packed into a relatively attractive looking package. It could certainly be punched up to compete with some of the super premium players, but the fluid inside the bottle is just as enjoyable as anything else on the market today. Definitely worth a try if you appreciate natural tasting juice that's high in antioxidants.
