Peel Out is the most unique and adventurous of the three initial Half Pint flavors. Despite being nut-free (it’s made with hemp seed milk), the product has a flavor that’s reminiscent of peanut butter and jelly. The product’s ingredient list, which include apple juice, water, strawberries, bananas, hemp seeds, coconut nectar, cocoa, oranges, lemons and wheatgrass, is a bit more complex than the other two varieties. This also results in a product which, at 170 calories, is a bit more substantial than the others (it also has 6g of protein, 3g of fiber, and a host of vitamins and minerals). Still, the flavor is ultimately what would keep us coming back to this particular variety. It’s slightly rich, but smooth, with the hemp milk providing a base that blends nicely with the banana, cocoa, and light citrus flavor that’s at the finish. Looking at the packaging for this variety, it’s probably the least intuitive in the sense that neither the color of the liquid or the flavor name give too many clues as to what this product is (there is small text under the flavor name that provides a description). Making this a bit more obvious would certainly be helpful. Otherwise, we really like the look of the logo and branding. Ultimately, this product tastes awesome, is a great value at $3.99, and looks great. We just wish the flavor name was a bit more helpful.
