The Kiwi Cucumber flavor of FLUROwater was, at least in terms of flavor, our favorite variety of the line. As with many lightly sweetened flavored waters, it’s the ones that use flavors that are naturally devoid of much sweetness that work best. In the case of this product, the light level of stevia works well with the added kiwi and cucumber flavorings. The taste is delicate and, for the most part, clean, with the exception of the stevia finish. For a product that suggests that consumers drink their vitamins, you really can’t taste the vitamins (that’s a good thing). However, the overall experience of consuming the product could be made better if it wishes to stand out. How the company should do that, we don’t know, but we will say that this and the other flavors are reminiscent of many other vitamin-infused waters that we’ve previously sampled. Given that most of those weren’t overly successful, it seems as though FLUROwater potentially risks the same fate if it doesn’t keep pushing the product forward. Ultimately, we think that consumers aren’t going to make sacrifices in what they drink simply to get vitamins -- so the flavor has to be spot on. On the outside, the fully wrapped stock bottle feels somewhat technical in its styling. From our perspective, we’d eliminate the generic splash of water down the site and try to make the logo stand out more. Much like the flavor, the packaging is fine, but it definitely doesn’t wow us or feel as though it’s a fully developed brand. Overall, FLUROwater Kiwi Cucumber is a good start, but it definitely needs some work.
