Review: Mango

This variety is one that’s somewhat reminiscent of Orange Mango Honest Ade, but with lemon in place of the orange. The result is something that has more tang and less sweetness, which certainly fits the bill of a “Summer Refresher.” There’s a pretty nice mango flavor to the product, which is probably the most appealing part of the flavor from our perspective, followed by a heavy note of lemonade flavor. To that end, it’s definitely a lighter and more refreshing flavor than an orange mango-flavored drink. And with this being a product from Honest Tea, it’s USDA Organic certified; the product is also made with Fair Trade sugar as the sweetener of choice. All in all, we like that the company has taken a familiar flavor and given it a slight twist while still maintaining the level of execution that we expect from Honest Tea. You can say the same about the packaging, which, at 32 oz., is different than putting Honest Ade in a 32 oz. bottle. The label is bright and clean, with slightly old-fashioned graphics meeting a modern looking Honest Tea logo. We’re still not fans of how the company has placed “Naturally Flavored” smack in the middle of the logo, but, aside from this minor point, we very much like what it has created. Definitely a product to try this summer.
