The Pomegranate, Blackcurrant, and Peppermint flavor of In/Fusion is a USDA Organic herbal tea. The “tea” is a blend of blackcurrant leaf and peppermint, which creates a very pleasant tasting and medium-bodied base for the drink. From there, the company has added grape must, blackcurrant juice, and pomegranate juice, which give the product a light note of tart fruit flavor. It pairs quite nicely with the mint, which hits you again at the finish and lingers slightly. All in all, we’re very impressed with this formulation -- and the fact that it has no added sweeteners or preservatives doesn’t hurt either. Packaging is an 11.1 oz. Tetra Pak carton with a DreamCap (which improves the flow of the liquid from the carton). It has an illustrated design with a pink backdrop, which is certainly a unique approach. However, we do think that the name of the flavor needs to be more succinct and have more visual emphasis. As it stands right now, we think it requires more effort to figure out than competing products. Overall, we like the uniqueness of the approach and the execution of the flavor, but the messaging on the package could stand to be improved.
