Lala Berry is a high pressure processed (HPP) blend of raspberry, blueberry, elderberry, banana, and almond milk. This product, unlike the brand's Vibrant Green, isn’t cold-pressed and instead is blended and uses the whole fruit. The result is something that has pulp and seeds from the berries and some thickness from the added banana. We find this approach to be quite enjoyable, with the berries having an extremely fresh flavor to them. The banana and the almond milk give the product a richness and its thick consistency. The end result is something that’s flavorful and filling (it has 220 calories, 3.5g of fat, 10g of fiber, and vitamins & minerals). On the packaging side of things, the 12 oz. bottle feels like the right portion size. However, we have mixed feelings about Jubali's choice of bottle. On the one hand, it’s unique, but on the other hand it’s not obvious that it’s an HPP product. The latter part being said, we think that this product needs a much more visible emphasis on the HPP than competing products that are in cylindrical or square bottles. Finally, there’s something about the copy on the front of the label that feels like it could be made a tad more inviting. Part of our reasoning is that there’s no tagline on the product and the word “unheated” sounds technical. In any event, the product is, as it stands right now, enjoyable, but we think that these changes would increase the product’s potential.
