Kefir is the cousin of yoghurt and its roots can trace back 2000 years. Originating in the Caucasus Mountains of Europe where people live well past 100 years, the word kefir is thought tohave been derived from the Turkish word "keif" for "good feeling", probably due to the sense of well-being experienced aften drinking it. Lifeway Kefir is an all-natural, authentically cultured probiotic beverage similar in taste and texture to a drink-style yogurt but with twice the amount of "friendly bacteria."
