Blending broccoli leaf, lemon, and ginger, this USDA Organic product is a very intense tasting product that is not for the rookie juice consumer. The product, which is devoid of any sweetness, has notes of bitterness, citrus and spice. This is pretty much what we expected from the three-ingredient blend that Lumi uses. The result is something that’s intense and lingering, even if you consume it in one gulp. It’s a unique tasting product that makes great use of high pressure processing in that you can really taste the freshness of it. This product certainly won’t be for everyone, but we really enjoyed it -- and you can’t knock the execution. On the outside, Lumi has done a great job with the packaging. It’s a small 2 oz. shot, which, like other juice companies doing shots, is a cylindrical-shaped bottle. But unlike other products we’ve seen, this one has a label that obscures the view of the liquid inside the bottle. For a product that’s a shot, which has minimal real estate, we not only think that’s fine, but we feel as though it allows Lumi to really create a memorable looking product. And that’s exactly what it has done. The blue-green label fits with the liquid that’s inside, while carefully placed text and logos give the product a polished appearance. All in all, we really like the unique flavor and solid execution of this product.
