Review: Blueberry Oat

Posted: Mar 14, 2012 at 10:09 AM (Last Updated: Mar 22, 2012 at 11:02 AM)
Naked’s Blueberry Oat flavored “Fruit Juice & Oat Smoothie” is a thick beverage that literally tastes like drinking a bowl of blueberry flavored oatmeal. Made with 78 percent juice, this product also features apple, banana, lemon, white grape, and red grape juices. As with other Naked products that we’ve sampled, it’s a bit too heavy on the apple, but otherwise the juice combination works well. The consistency of the drink is the most unique part of this product, with visible bits of oats and almonds floating throughout. All in all, it’s a very nice tasting product. And for 9 ounces, this bottle packs a lot in, with 12g of protein, 5g of fiber, and 320 calories. It’s ultimately more of a meal replacement than a smoothie. Visually, the 9 oz. glass bottle is very different from Naked’s standard plastic packaging, which makes it stand out and feel more premium over their flagship line. That said, we definitely question how long this product will stay on the market in its current form. Overall, a very enjoyable and innovative product from Naked.
