Review: OCC High Octane Fuel Energy Drink

Posted: Jan 10, 2005 at 12:00 AM (Last Updated: Jan 10, 2005 at 1:23 PM)
Hoping to build on the success of the wildly popular Discovery Channel show "American Chopper" is a new energy drink called Orange County Choppers (OCC) High Octane Fuel. The can features OCC's highly-stylized chopper logo and is rimmed with flame art much like that which you might find on an OCC custom-built bike. The drink has a very tasty blue raspberry flavor which we found to be quite refreshing. The label of the can is clean and simple, fitting with existing OCC branding efforts. Beyond that, the drink should benefit from the obvious synergies at work between the show's image/core-demographic and the image/core-demographic of energy drinks. While it might not make your biceps as big as Paul Senior's or make you as zany as Mikey, this is a great drink that consumers will definitely enjoy.
