In terms of its flavor profile, Q Lemon is probably the most soda-like of the three new flavors from Q Drinks. The lemon flavor is very much like a standard lemon lime soda, but with a much cleaner and crisper flavor than your standard lemon lime CSD. Some of this is the result of using sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup, which has a more viscous body than sugar. It’s also the result of using restraint in how much sweetener is added (12 g per 8 oz.) and keeping the level of carbonation in check. However, the lack of coloring in the liquid definitely makes this slightly less visually appetizing than some of the other flavors (not that we’d suggest they dial up the color). Beyond that, we really like the sophisticated simplicity that they’ve created with the design. It’s definitely something that looks great in the hand and on the shelf. Overall, we’re big fans of Q Drinks, and this flavor is no exception.
