The final variety of Sambazon's three-day Purifying Cleanse program, Recharge is a superfood smoothie made with Brazil nuts, cashews, cocoa, soymilk, cane sugar, vanilla, stevia and a few other ingredients. Of the three products, this is the only one labeled a smoothie, and it’s definitely the one with the most sustenance to it. The product has 8g of protein per 8oz. serving, as well as vitamins, potassium and magnesium. However, when it comes to flavor, this was our least favorite of the three. The reason is quite simple: there’s too much soymilk flavor, and we taste the stevia at the finish. While it’s still a drinkable product, we were expecting something closer to a nutmilk than a soymilk. Otherwise, the product has a mellow sweetness and cocoa flavor, both of which seem to be incorporated at the right levels. In terms of packaging, the product is easy to read and understand, but the graphic on the front panel is, with exception of the chocolate, not instantly identifiable. Furthermore, a darker, more vibrant accent color would certainly help this product. Overall, a good start, but we think some refinement is needed on this one.
