The Ginger Lime flavor of Sap on Tap blends organic maple water, organic ginger juice, and organic lime juice that is then high pressure processed (HPP) and filled into a 10 oz. bottle. From a taste perspective, the maple water is definitely much lighter tasting than their original variety, with a light splash of both ginger and lime making their way to your palate. The maple water adds a subtle earthy sweetness to the drink, which is really quite nice. And that’s really what you get from the maple water -- it definitely doesn’t taste like maple syrup or anything like that. Ultimately, we feel as though this flavor combination is quite successful, with the ginger and lime being used with great restraint such that the product is still a maple water at its core. As for the branding and packaging, the look of the product isn’t all that far from the brand's original or other maple waters. So, it seems like an intuitive package that sets the stage for this being a lightly flavored maple water. If there’s anything about this package that might be an area for improvement, it’s in the visual treatment and placement of the brand name, which, if you aren’t familiar with the product, isn’t obvious that it is the name of the product line. Overall, Sap On Tap’s Ginger Lime is a more than worthy addition to the lineup.
