Using a low sugar blend of water, cucumber, pineapple, lemon, ginger, lemongrass, cilantro, chlorella, and spirulina, this product has layers of flavor without the need for a lot of sweetness. While the color of the liquid is rather opaque and green, it’s almost closer to a flavored water in terms of body. The same can be said about the caloric content: at 25 calories per 8 ounces, it’s quite light. This certainly makes this much more of a refreshment product than some of their other Classic flavors, which skew more towards meal replacement or cleanse functions. That said, we again (as we said with Fortitude) feel as though there’s a bit of a messaging issue for this line in terms of how the various flavors are communicated to consumers. This flavor, while very tasty and unique, feels as though it could be lost amongst the other green-colored flavors. Figuring out some way to call more attention to the low sugar formulation might be one solution. Overall, we definitely appreciate what they’ve done with the flavor of this product, but the addition of this flavor presents a new challenge -- fine-tuning the messaging.
