Turmeric Golden-Milk is Rebbl’s most adventurous flavor of the new varieties that the company recently introduced. It blends a base of coconut milk with turmeric, ginger, vanilla, honey, ouillaja, cardamom, pink salt, black pepper, allspice and stevia. The color of the liquid, which literally looks like gold-colored milk, is something that will be unique to most consumers. We’d say the same thing about the flavor, which has a slight coconut milk flavor that quickly gives way to the turmeric, ginger, and allspice. The added honey helps smooth things out, adding (along with the stevia) just the right amount of sweetness to make you want to drink more. This concept, which at this point we’ve only seen in one other brand, is similar in flavor to a chai, but without the tea. We really appreciate the complexity of the flavor -- as well as the fact that the company has done a great job of hiding the stevia. On the design front, we really like the color of the label as it really pops out from the rest of their flavors. The red Rebbl seal is really nice looking as well, and we feel that turmeric, unlike maca or reishi, feels like something that is a flavor enhancement. That being said, the message and positioning of the product seem a step above some of their other offerings. Overall, a very enjoyable and well-executed product.
