Sweet’tauk’s Zingy Ginger is a high pressure processed (HPP) beverage that is made with water, lemon juice, cane sugar and ginger. The product is simple and straightforward, with the biggest flavor differentiation between this and mainstream lemonade being in the lower level of sweetness (18g sugar per bottle). The spice of the added ginger is a nice twist, but it’s not so spicy that it’s in your face. Truthfully though, we’d be much more inclined to come back to Sweet’tauk for this flavor than their classic variety -- it’s just that much more unique tasting. Beyond that, we do wonder how a product that has only 16 percent juice will be able to position itself within the HPP juice category. As for the packaging, the 12 oz. square bottle seems like the right package for the product. Between the color of the liquid and the copy on the label, it’s pretty obvious that it’s a lemonade drink that’s flavored with ginger. However, the the Sweet’tauk branding seems a bit too small. Otherwise, we like the Montauk surf motif that the company has created. It’s simple and easy on the eyes, which definitely fits with and HPP juice brand. Overall, a thoughtfully executed play on the classic summertime beverage that is lemonade.
