The Green Chia variety of GT’s Synergy Kombucha is a blend of organic raw kombucha, raw chia seeds, and chlorophyll. Probably the most unique part of what’s inside the bottle is the appearance of the liquid, which has a bright bluish green color and chia seeds suspended throughout. If you’ve never had a chia based beverage or kombucha, this product will probably be quite different than anything you’ve experienced before. On the other hand, those familiar with chia and kombucha will probably come to the same conclusion that we did: this is one of the smoothest and best tasting drinks in both the kombucha and chia categories. The chlorophyll adds a slightly grassy note to the mix, but also helps cut the fermented flavor of the kombucha. The chia seeds add some chew and thickness to the drink, making it something that has to be enjoyed slowly. All in all, it’s very well balanced, but very flavorful at the same time. Nutritionally, this product has 150 calories per bottle, 10g of sugar, omega 3 and omega 6, antioxidants, and live probiotics. In terms of packaging, it follows the same format as the rest of the Synergy line, which has a clean, upscale look and feels like something that is good for you. Compared with the other Synergy flavors, this product also has a unique added visual benefit in the chia seeds that are in the liquid. Overall, this is the best of the GT’s Synergy with Chia flavors to date.
