Coco Motion is Taste Nirvana’s blend of coconut water, coconut nectar, lime juice, sea salt and lime flavor. From a taste perspective, it’s very close to the flavor of a lemon lime sports drink. While it doesn’t have any added sugar, the added coconut nectar gives it a level of sweetness beyond that of just plain coconut water. The lime variety is good, although the added lime flavoring gives it an almost candy like flavor. From our perspective, the drink would be better if this weren’t a part of the equation. Finally, there’s a touch of saltiness to the finish, which helps mellow out the sweetness. All in all, the flavor of this product is pretty enjoyable. On the outside, the 16.2 oz. can is large. It has a small (rather than wide mouth) opening, which seems strange given that this drink is touting rehydration (when you’ll presumably want to drink this product a little faster than the small opening allows). Otherwise, there’s just too much going on on the front panel. The yellow ring around the top, the Coco Motion logo, and the Taste Nirvana logo all compete for the eye. Simplifying the look -- and making it more clear that it’s lime flavored -- would definitely help this product. Overall, we like the concept and feel that this could be a very good product if it is refined a bit.
