Review: Candy Cane Shake

Taylor’s Tonics' Candy Cane Shake is a carbonated refreshment beverage that is part of their Holiday Fizz pack for 2011. This beverage goes above and beyond a typical sparkling sugary peppermint flavor soda. There’s a pleasant base of organic peppermint with notes of French vanilla, orange, and coconut water -- a concoction of flavors that supports the minty flavor quite well. The soda is sweetened with a blend of cane juice and erythritol and clocks in at 98 calories per bottle, which makes it slightly lower than a standard CSD. The soda is delivered in a 12 oz. longneck bottle adorned with a matte finish label that both looks and feels nice. True to the Taylor’s Tonic’s brand as a whole, the imagery for the Candy Cane Shake follows suit. The name, Candy Cane Shake, really helps to put in perspective the level of thought put into the flavors inside the bottle. Overall, Candy Cane Shake is another high quality offering from Taylor’s Tonics -- and most certainly the best holiday themed flavor we’ve sampled to date.
