Review: What Makes A Coconut Shake?

(Last Updated: Nov 04, 2014 at 10:09 AM)
The Squeeze definitely has a knack for crafting unique flavor profiles, and this is no exception. This one starts out with coconut water and coconut meat, which is then blended with strawberry, cashews, dates, Irish moss (a natural thickener/stabilizer), maca and vanilla bean. The resulting product has a very enjoyable -- and somewhat indulgent -- strawberry and coconut flavor that is reminiscent of a strawberry milkshake. But flavor is where the comparisons to a milkshake end. This product, which is marketed as "raw" (not pasteurized or high pressure processed), doesn’t include any dairy and is at a whole other level in terms of quality. Visually, this product has the best packaging of any of the company's nut milk/smoothie products. It really comes down to the simple fact that the color of the liquid (pink) is the perfect match for the pink color that they use on the logo and the cap. As for the name of the product, framing it as a question is not something that we’ve seen before. It’s hard to say if consumers will get it or be confused by it, but we cannot imagine that consumers will call it by its full name. Overall, a very innovative and enjoyable product that’s definitely worth a try.
