When we first tried Wild Poppy back in 2011, we were quite fond of the concept of having a mint lemonade as part of its lineup. However, the original variety was just too minty and it left us begging for more lemon flavor. Fortunately, in its more recent production runs, Wild Poppy has made an adjustment in the formulation, and the drink is much closer to where we think it needs to be. The flavor is certainly still skewed towards the peppermint, but it no longer is to the point where you can’t taste the lemonade as you continue to drink the product. Plus, it’s still very good at being a lightly-flavored, adult-oriented beverage (with only 90 calories per 10 oz., we might add). On the outside, the product hasn’t strayed from the design that they’ve had since the beginning. It’s clean and polished, with a hip, but sophisticated, look that definitely makes it stand out from similar products. Overall, we’re definitely fond of the refinements that the company has made.
