Zola’s Mango & Chia is a 56% juice organic beverage that’s made with a blend of acai, mango, and chia (oil and ground seeds). From a flavor perspective, the product’s flavor is, first and foremost, that of an acai drink. The purplish color of the liquid looks just like their other flavors, while a pleasant note of mango adds a nice secondary flavor note. The added chia doesn’t impact the flavor, but there does seem to be slightly more grit to this product than their other flavors. Finally, added agave fiber, citric acid, natural flavors, acacia gum, guar gum, and soy lecithin round out the formulation (the final couple of ingredients presumably for consistency and to keep the drink emulsified). All in all, this is a nice bolt on flavor for Zola, but it’s one that’s very much more of the same in terms of flavor. Visually, this product comes in a 32 oz bottle and looks very much like their other superfruit based drinks. They have, however, made a more prominent callout for the product’s Brazil influences by adding a Brazilian flag to the front panel. The design is clean and easy to read, which is certainly the benefit of having plenty of real estate to work with. Overall, a nice line extension for Zola.
