Rabbit Hole Distilling, the modern NuLu (New Louisville) distilling brand known for innovation in both craft and ethos, lead by Founder and Whiskey Maker Kaveh Zamanian, joins the ranks of many prestigious distillers in Bourbon Country as a member of the Bourbon Capital Compass. Rabbit Hole is one of three new inductees to the site, which will officially expand just in time for September’s celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month.
Located in front of the Bourbon Capital Visitor’s Center, the Compass greets and engages visitors as they begin their exploration of Bardstown, Kentucky’s capital of Bourbon Country. The compass is designed to depict and celebrate the breadth, diversity and history of the distilleries across the Commonwealth, featuring distillery bricks, each located within the Compass, displaying the distillery’s name, location, distance and the direction of travel from Bardstown.
“We are humbled that Rabbit Hole will be distinguished among such incredible proponents of the bourbon industry,” shared Kaveh Zamanian. “We continue to strive to fuse the rich heritage of bourbon’s past with an entirely modern approach to the enjoyment of whiskey.”
Rabbit Hole Distilling, located 41 miles northwest of Bardstown, will be inducted though an official ceremony, marking the second round of honorees since the Bourbon Capital Compasses’ inception last year. The new induction will bring the Compasses’ total to 32 distilleries throughout Bourbon Country. Rabbit Hole is currently finishing its fourth vintage of bourbon and building its distillery, set to change the course of the bourbon industry with its opening in 2018.
