La Colombe has launched its first non-coffee offering: a Chai Draft Latte. This product attempts to do to chai what their draft latte did for coffee: take a high quality, cold-brewed chai and give it that fluffy and light texture of a nitro.
In short, the life of Todd Carmichael can be defined by his zealous thirst for adventure and his unbridled passion for coffee. Brevity, however, doesn’t quite capture the scope of Carmichael’s incredible journey as the co-founder and CEO of super-premium coffee company La Colombe.
La Colombe’s canned Draft Latte has been on the market for just over a year, but the innovative beverage is now the fastest growing RTD coffee in the U.S., according to the premium coffee manufacturer and retailer, which cited recent sales data from market research firm IRI.
Todd Carmichael, the co-founder and CEO of La Colombe, says he has a “firm belief that nothing is ever truly finished.” He is, however, content with the recent completion of the company’s 60,000 sq. ft. production facility, one that will support a dramatic increase in the distribution and retail placement of its RTD Draft Latte products.
After a year spent building relationships with retailers nationwide and preparing to significantly ramp up production, January represents a major milestone for the Philadelphia-based coffee brand.
