For years, beverage brands have sought the best way to connect with the coveted millennial consumer demographic. But what about the millennials who have decided to enter the beverage business? What do they think, and how are they changing the game? At BevNET Live Summer 2019, three millennial entrepreneurs from rising brands Koia, Tea Drops, and Kitu Life will discuss how their generational background gives them unique insight into a marketplace that is favoring functional products, clean ingredients, and honest, direct branding.
The speakers on this panel include Koia co-founder Maya French, who has disrupted the vegan products space with her company’s line of plant-based protein drinks; Tea Drops founder and CEO Sashee Chandran, whose innovative and sustainable instant tea products have resonated across social media; and Kitu Life co-founder and CEO Jim DeCicco, who is making waves in the cold brew coffee space with MCT oil-infused beverages. Together they will discuss how millennials approach marketing, product development, sustainability, and diversity in the workforce, and what lessons other brand leaders can take away from their experiences.
Alongside this panel, the Summer edition of BevNET Live will feature two dozen more top speakers from the beverage industry, including Mike Repole, the co-founder of Bodyarmor and Vitaminwater, Orion Melehen and Aaron Hinde, the co-founders of LifeAid, and Zak Normandin, the founder and CEO of Iris Nova. Also on the program are networking and sampling opportunities, such as the Beverage School startup session on June 11, and the New Beverage Showdown pitch competition.
