When it comes to a potential sale for your beverage brand, a new strategic acquirer has come in from the cold: Generous Brands.

Generous Brands has taken the cold-chain infrastructure fostered by the 2019 purchase of Bolthouse Farms, combined it with the innovative HPP brand Evolution Fresh in 2022, and then leveraged its manufacturing capabilities to help supply and distribute Sambazon beverages. Now, it’s purchased kombucha brand Health Ade. It’s not done yet.The combined company, owned by Butterfly Equity, believes that the route to the distribution of the freshest, healthiest possible beverages in the store runs through the refrigerator, and it’s continuing to invest and grow its capabilities there.

To provide a look at the strategy that’s driving this new fresh, healthy beverage behemoth, Todd Putman, the Chief Transformation Officer at Generous Brands, will speak at BevNET Live L.A. 2025 (Dec. 7-9) in Marina Del Rey.

Putman, a longtime leader at companies like Campbell’s, the Coca-Cola Co., Inc., Bumblebee Foods, along with Bolthouse and Evolution Fresh, is one of the key executives driving what the company calls “the world’s largest beverage startup.” His talk will offer ideas on the ways emerging brands can partner with larger entities for growth and scale, either through manufacturing and distribution or through M&A. A published expert on leadership methods and purpose-driven organizations, he’ll also discuss some best practices for building and combining entrepreneurial companies.

There are also a number of options for additional education, networking and exposure, including 1:1 meetings, Beverage School for startups, and various sampling stations stationed throughout the event.

More than 550 people are already registered including teams from Spindrift, Poppi, KeHe, TRIP, Whole Foods, LIFEAID, Fresh Thyme, InvestBev, Bragg, Kin Euphorics, Health-Ade and many others, with new companies joining every day.
