Purchasing Manager

Delta Pacific Beverage is a leading independent distributor of craft beer, cider, spirits, and RTDs throughout Northern California. We represent a portfolio of exceptional suppliers and pride ourselves on the partnerships we build and the results we deliver.

We’re looking for a Purchasing Manager who knows the beverage business — someone who understands the push-and-pull of supplier ordering, chain programming, and warehouse reality.

This role blends sales analytics, forecasting, and purchasing execution to keep the right beer and beverage on hand without tying up cash flow.

What You’ll Do

• Manage supplier purchasing for all beer, cider, and RTD brands in our portfolio.
• Build and maintain Excel-based forecasting models to convert sales trends and seasonal programming into purchase orders.
• Track and communicate KPIs: Days on Hand, Out-of-Stocks, Forecast Accuracy, and Supplier Fill Rates.
• Work closely with sales, brand management, and warehouse operations to align orders with promotions and resets.
• Partner directly with supplier reps and production teams to confirm allocations, delivery schedules, and program timing.
• Provide visibility to leadership through clear reporting and cost-management updates.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in beer or beverage distribution (purchasing, pricing, or sales analysis).
• Strong command of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, conditional logic).
• Understanding of supplier ordering cycles, depletions, and pricing structures.
• Collaborative communicator with cross-department experience.
• Familiarity with VIP, Encompass, Orchestrated Beer, or DSDLink is a plus.
