This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, demands accountability, and operates with an owner mindset—balancing daily execution with long-term strategy. 

Brand Mission & Market Positioning

  • Champion Outlaw Light as a challenger brand (NEW LIGHT LAGER), ensuring every market touchpoint reflects our growth and passion to being the best in the game.
  • Translate brand strategy into retail execution, distributor alignment, and sales team culture.

Daily Responsibilities

Retail Execution & Chain Management

  • Drive Territory to close all chain mandates with a sense of urgency
  • Keep pricing competitive, working with RVP on proposals
  • Ensure inventory levels are 21+ Days on Hand at Distributors
  • Flawless execution of Marketing programs, in-store activations, signage, displays, and teams samplings

Sales Team Oversight

  • Review daily account visits, sales velocity, PODs, and other KPI’s for Reps
  • Conduct Weekly Team calls and 1 on 1’s with market Reps
  • Review performance and ensure pipeline data accuracy and why things are going good or bad 
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and tactical adjustments based on field findings
  • Manage Team Budget
  • Monitor team KPIs and identify underperformance early with corrective action plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for Distributors

Distributor Engagement

  • Drive Distributor performance with brand marketing, incentives, work withs, etc.
  • Ensure distributor reps are equipped with current sell sheets, brand decks, and programming tools

Monthly Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Performance Review

  • Lead monthly business reviews with distributors covering depletions, forecasts, and execution gaps.
  • Analyze chain-level performance including promo ROI, SKU velocity, and display opportunities. 
  • Host regional sales team meetings to align on goals, wins, challenges, and execution priorities.
  • Update territory growth plans based on market trends, competitive activity, and performance data to RVP/CCO. 

Team Development & Market Expansion

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales reps and market specialists as needed.
  • Identify training needs and lead workshops (objection handling, data analysis, execution standards).
  • Scout new retail opportunities and regional chain expansion opportunities.
  • Evaluate field marketing and activation impact, adjusting tactics for upcoming quarters. RIDE WITH TEAM OFTEN .
  • Submit a monthly report to the VP of Sales outlining key wins, risks, insights, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in leadership role and relevant to alcohol sales
  • Understanding of three-tier system 
  • Proven success managing team and wholesaler
  • Strong with IDIG/Karma
  • Knowledge of launching new brands
  • Passion beverage industry career field 
  • Willing to travel monthly 
  • Willing to sell in your home market 
  • Helping to provide relationships gained with key accounts (large buying groups)
