Finback is seeking an Assistant Brewer to assist in all cellar, packaging and brewing operations. This role is a dynamic position working in multiple aspects of the brewing process from wort production through packaging, and touching upon all aspects of our production operations. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of commercial brewery experience, but most importantly an eagerness to learn and meticulous dedication to high quality brewing. 


Candidates should be dedicated, energetic and have a passion for getting things done; nurturing tendencies, detail oriented and inquisitiveness is a must. Candidates must be good multi-taskers and natural problem solvers with a penchant for optimization and efficiency. We hope to find an exceptional person to join our team for the long term to help grow what we do as well as make a positive contribution to our creative brewing operations. Position has strong growth opportunities to advance within our production team.


Finback is a brewery with a passion to make creative beers and unique meaningful experiences at our taprooms and communities. With production and taproom locations in Queens and Brooklyn, Finback is rooted in NYC while also expanding its presence regionally, nationally and internationally. Finback acquired a farm property in upstate New York where it will focus on brewing related agriculture and creating a unique craft beer experience in a rural setting. JOB DESCRIPTION


- Work with production team in all aspects of brewery production

- CIP tanks, cleaning and maintaining an orderly production space

- Harvesting and pitching yeast, dry-hopping and cellar operations

- Transfers, operating a Centrifuge and carbonating beer

- Assisting in packaging operations

- Operate Wild Goose Filler

- Keg washing and filling operations

- Cleaning and maintaining an orderly production space

• Thoughtful and organized, excited by Optimization

• Experience with Google Workspace and EKOS a plus

• Able to work in a team atmosphere while able to maintain individual tasks and responsibilities

• Curious and forward looking energy

• Does not get bored by boring things nor distracted by exciting things

• Meet physical demands of warehouse operations; able to lift 55# unassisted and enjoys working on their feet, able to multi-task

• GEA Centrifuge Experience a plus

• Forklift experience, certification a plus

• 2+ Years’ experience in commercial brewery (1 Year minimum)

compensation: $22-$24 per hour +OT, based on experience

employment type: full-time 40hrs typical work week, Over Time as needed
