Summary: 

As a Maintenance Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our Director of Engineering to shape a culture of lean manufacturing and persistent process improvement across our production operations. Your mission is to lead our team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring equipment maintenance reliability, maintaining adequate parts inventory, driving process improvements, and strategically expanding our capabilities. This role is a perfect fit for individuals who flourish in challenges with multiple tasks, possess a knack for boosting efficiency, adapt seamlessly to a variety of projects, works well with others and are dedicated to supporting the ongoing refinement of scalable processes. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance program to maximize uptime, productivity, efficiency, and safety across all operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Leadership: Have a positive “can do” attitude with an eagerness to learn that is an example to all the Maintenance staff to follow. 
  • Preventative Maintenance: Continues to improve upon the PM’s, inventory and equipment in the CMMS system. Scheduling PM’s where applicable to ensure they get done in a timely manner. 
  • Project Facilitation: Contribute to the Capex process, emphasizing in ensuring any new equipment is added to the CMMS system, having PM’s and critical spare parts in place. 
  • Process Management: Handle projects related to brewing, packaging, and quality processes throughout their lifecycle. 
  • Technical Support: Assist production departments in troubleshooting and repair, enhancing maintenance team skills in a methodical and strategic way. This includes documentation. 
  • SCADA and CMMS: Collaborate with engineering to support control systems and maintain the CMMS. 
  • Efficiency Improvements: Work closely with departments to design and implement efficiency and safety improvements. 
  • Multiskilled Maintenance: Address various mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, supporting the staff to ensure a successful outcome. 
  • Parts Management: Ensure timely availability of repair parts and manage contractors. 
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive equipment and systems documentation.  
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, lead and schedule the maintenance team, ensuring effective outcomes. 
  • Autonomous Work: Independently manage multiple projects and support production priorities. 
  • Performance Enhancement: Enhance equipment proficiency, efficiency, and consistency. 
  • Standardization: Continue to improve programs, KPIs, and reports for process improvement. 
  • Policy Development: Formalize company-wide maintenance processes and procedures. 
  • Communication: Present in key forums and support planning and execution of reviews. 
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other assigned job duties. 


Qualifications:  

  •  5+ years of relevant experience and relevant certifications (Plant Journeyman or LME). 
  • Proven track record in implementing preventive maintenance in production facilities, preferably in beverage, food, or process industries. 
  • 3+ years of team supervision and management experience. 
  • Proficiency in software and engineering tools (e.g., CAD, SCADA, PLCs), with a preference for Ignition, AB, or Siemens systems. 
  • Familiarity with CMMS, ERP, MES, and inventory management systems. 
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including reliability tools like Pareto analysis, FMEA, RCM, and RCA. 
  • Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint. 
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or NetSuite is preferred. 
  • Background in technology deployment, capital projects, and cost reduction. 
  • Prior involvement in safety and quality programs such as 5S, GMP, and HAACP is a plus. 
  • Self-starter who excels in multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exceptional communicator with strong presentation skills and a focus on simplicity and clarity. 
  • Effective leader with a talent for staff development and motivation. 
  • Occasional travel may be required for project support. 


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:  

  • Fast paced and constantly changing work environment.  
  • Subject to extreme temperatures.  
  • Subject to working outdoors at times. 
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders throughout shift.  
  • Ability to stand/move for 10-12 hours per day.  
  • Able to use hand tools and lift 55lbs several times a day.  
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety steel toe boots (as required by company policy).  
  • Ability to work in tight or enclosed spaces.
