The Role

We’re seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial National Sales Director to lead our sales function. As a core member of our 7-person team, this role will own topline revenue growth and customer development while ensuring disciplined trade spend management. The right candidate is equally comfortable setting high-level strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute with organization and precision.


This is a unique opportunity to join an established, independent natural foods brand at a pivotal stage - as we launch and expand a new ready to drink (RTD) product line that is already off to a strong start. Your role will build upon our strong customer partnerships, expand our retail and distribution footprint, and help shape the company’s growth.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver on topline revenue goals across all channels (natural, conventional, foodservice, DTC as relevant).
  • Develop and execute national sales strategy to drive distribution, velocity, and brand visibility.
  • Lead relationships with retail and distributor partners; secure new distribution opportunities.
  • Manage and optimize trade spend to maximize ROI and ensure profitability.
  • Develop and implement promotional plans down to the account level.
  • Provide forecasting, planning, and sales analysis to inform company strategy and operations. Track monthly sales performance.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Operations to align on brand initiatives, promotional planning, and supply chain needs.
  • Represent Three Trees with professionalism, enthusiasm, and deep industry credibility.
  • Build sales processes and infrastructure suitable for a fast-growing small company.
  • Contribute to broader company leadership as a key member of the management team.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales experience in the natural foods CPG industry, with refrigerated product experience required.
  • Proven success in managing topline revenue and trade spend.
  • Strong relationships and credibility with key natural and conventional retailers and distributors.
  • Highly strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Entrepreneurial; challenging the status quo and ever-seeking a better way
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment—hands-on, resourceful, and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-directed leader who thrives in a small-team, high-performance culture.
  • Willingness and desire to travel; values in-person meetings over video and email
  • Has experience developing and executing on strategic and tactical plans including account-level planning
