About Wild State

At Wild State, we believe life’s too short for bad beverages. We’re a team of kind, hardworking people who care about what we make and who we make it with. From our flagship hard ciders to our THC beverages, we craft drinks that make people say “I’ll have another.”

We’re proud of what we’ve built so far, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead. Demand is growing, our team is expanding, and we’re investing in the people, systems, and equipment that will take Wild State to the next level.

The Role

This is not a clipboard-and-whistle gig. The Director of Operations ensures that production, packaging, and facilities run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, lead a team of production and warehouse staff, and make sure our beverages get from tank to can without a hitch.

You’ll also be a mentor and coach, helping team members grow into their roles, develop new skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Your job is equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and people champion — one moment you’re mapping out production schedules, the next you’re troubleshooting equipment or helping someone tackle a new challenge.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead production operations and their respective teams: fermentation, blending, packaging, warehousing.
  • Manage budget and supply chain for ingredients and packaging materials
  • Build, coach, and support a high-performing team, helping individuals develop their skills and reach their potential.
  • Balance production schedules with sales demand to ensure products are delivered on time.
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and quality
  • Forecast and manage budgets to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Partner with leadership to plan for continuous improvement and strategic growth of the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in beverage, food, or manufacturing operations
  • 4+ years leading teams in a management position — you’re a natural mentor and skilled at developing talent.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, QA/QC, and workflow optimization.
  • Mechanical and technical know-how — equipment doesn’t scare you.
  • Strong people skills — you can motivate, coach, and get the best out of a team.
  • Clear communicator who can work across teams without losing their cool.
  • Demonstrated big picture thinking.
  • A knack for solving problems before they become emergencies.
  • No jerks
