Job Summary

We're looking for a Business Development Manager who will act as a liaison between our company and our supplier partners. The primary responsibilities of this role are to manage and strengthen supplier partner relationships, ensure alignment of shared goals and maximize success. A significant part of the role involves analyzing sales data, preparing detailed sales reports, strategizing, and communicating these insights to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distribution sales, account management, data analysis, and a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry. The candidate is also expected to work inhouse and not remotely.


Key Responsibilities

Supplier Relationship Management:

·      Serve as the secondary or primary point of contact for key supplier partners.

·      Conduct regular business reviews with partners to discuss performance, opportunities, and challenges.

·      Identify and implement strategies to increase sales and market share for partner products.

·      Assist in negotiating and managing distribution contracts.

Sales Data Analysis & Reporting:

·      Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

·      Prepare and present comprehensive reports on company’s performance, supplier’s performance, sales forecasts, and market insights internally and externally.

·      Collaborate with the sales teams to develop strategies for product pricing, promotion and placement.

·      Utilize internal and external data tools to track performance and manage reporting workflows efficiently.

Internal Collaboration:

·      Work closely with the purchasing, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless operational flow.

·      Provide regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders on supplier initiatives and performance.

·      Champion supplier products internally, ensuring our sales force is knowledgeable and engaged.

Qualifications

·      Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in distribution sales, business development, account management, or a similar role within the food and beverage or industry.

Skills:

·      Proven ability to manage and grow account and/or supplier relationships.

·      Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point

·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

·      Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

·      Contract negotiation and management a plus.
