We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to grow the UPTIME brand across a defined territory by partnering with distributors and retailers to maximize sales, visibility, and consumer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Territory Management
- Develop and execute a structured territory plan with the Regional Sales Director (RSD).
- Leverage data (VIP, syndicated) to identify opportunities and optimize market execution.
- Drive distribution growth, maintain current placements, and ensure availability across all channels.
- Increase visibility and velocity through signage, displays, and promotional programs.
- Educate consumers, retailers, and distributor teams on brand story and product benefits.
- Execute special projects such as pricing surveys, crew drives, and program rollouts.
Distributor Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of distributor organizations.
- Co-create annual business plans with distributors and conduct quarterly reviews.
- Monitor distributor inventory, depletion trends, and forecast need to prevent out-of-stock and aged products.
- Conduct regular market visits with distributor teams and make joint sales calls.
- Track and report key metrics including budget, forecasts, and execution.
Communication & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, operations, finance, and logistics teams.
- Provide timely updates, market recaps, and actionable insights to management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of beverage/DSD sales experience (energy category a plus).
- Strong understanding of distributor and retail operations (pricing, margins, shelf space).
- Excellent time management—ability to prioritize effectively (80% field, 20% planning/administration).
- Proven relationship-builder with strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong written communication and reporting skills; detail oriented.
- Physically able to lift/move cases and place POS materials (up to 70 lbs).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance/registration, and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
