Overview
Good Boy Vodka is hiring a Key Account Manager to drive sales and manage major West region accounts. The role focuses on building relationships with retailers to increase distribution, volume, and market share. Candidates should have substantial experience in the adult beverage industry and brand development.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Sell to accounts in assigned trade channel(s)
- Develop and execute annual business plans for assigned regional chain account to achieve volume and distribution goals.
- Lead customer meetings, category reviews, and annual business plans with key buyers
- Secure new product placements, promotional programming, and incremental displays to drive brand awareness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal field sales, wholesalers, marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure top-level execution.
- Analyze market trends, syndicated data, and wholesaler depletions to identify opportunities.
- Manage promotional budgets and pricing strategies in accordance with account and company guidelines.
- Establish solid ties with major retail and wholesale stakeholders.
- Represent GBV at industry events and trade shows
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for acquiring and maintaining fruitful relationships with key retailer(s). The overall purpose of this position is to execute Good Boy Vodka sales objectives including volume, share, distribution, assortment, shelf space, merchandising programs, etc. for all Good Boy Vodka brands in these key accounts. The primary function of this role is to sell in and influence our key retailers through partnership, communication, and consistency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grow sales and share within Business Unit
- Collaborate with GBV Regional Leadership and Wholesaler Teams to build creative programs and drive execution
- Lead retail communication with GBV Regional Leadership and Wholesaler KAM Teams
- Provide total account management; sell-in programs and brand promotions, ad features, post promo analysis
- Direct and manage category opportunities to grow overall beer business
- Utilize sales tools IRI and IDIG
- Evaluate strategies and action plans against allocated targets
- Contribute to the development and management of monthly PR’s and the annual account plan
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in business, finance, marketing or related field highly preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Advanced computer software proficiency (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint)
- High level of expertise in analyzing information and making information-based recommendations
- Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures is preferred.
- Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills
- Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries
- Ability to work cross functionally with sales, marketing and category teams to develop retailer specific program solutions
- Understanding of adult beverage wholesaler network/processes and wholesaler equity agreement
- Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment
